Coverack to St Keverne

A circular walk from Coverack to St Keverne, past the treacherous Manacles reef, known as the grave of a thousand ships, where at least a hundred wrecks have been recorded and over a thousand people have drowned.

OS Explorer maps are a useful addition for navigating around any temporary obstacles or short-cutting routes, bearing in mind that in Cornwall, some paths shown on the OS maps are obstructed, non-existent or don't correspond to the actual location of the path on the ground.

OS Landranger maps are not recommended as these don't show field boundaries, making it very difficult to locate paths (waymarking in Cornwall is often very poor once you venture off the coast path).
