Review: Hi-Tec Altitude IV Walking Boots
Reviewed: 2025-06-17
Initial impressions of the Altitude IV boots are promising. The uppers appear to be pure leather (without a synthetic coating that seems prone to peeling). Their first outing was on a 4 mile hike on rocky coastline and they were very comfortable.
After a few outings, the conclusion is that the grip on the soles is good in dry weather but definitely not so good as the softer treads on the Northwest Territory Inuvik boots on smooth, wet rocks.
As usual, we'll update the review after several months of wear.
