Review: Peter Storm Rivelin Walking Boots
Peter Storm boots are available at shops like Go Outdoors and Milletts as well as online at Amazon. Since we found some on offer and we'd tried a few other budget leather boots, we thought we'd give them a try to see if we were missing out as the user reviews seemed pretty good. However, we do work our boots very hard so reviews are not always representative for what we put them though.

We're increasingly seeing hybrid soles now with a mixture of hard and softer plastics to balance long-wearing with grip. These are no exception although in practice we found them a bit less grippy than our Northwest Territory boots in the wet.

After about 9 months, the boots failed because the grey part of the sole separated from the leather upper. Perhaps we were unlucky with our pair but it was a bit disappointing as we normally get at least a year out of other brands. The eyelets are also rusting quite a lot which can't be attributed to a one-off and must be an overall materials quality issue.
