Gradients
There are a few steps to climb on the coast path. During the walk there are fairly short, moderately steep climbs and descents on tarmac and concrete paths which could be slippery after wet weather. There is a slightly longer climb on the road to return to the car park after the end of the walk.
Whoever put this mystery walk together is an absolute genius!! What a great way to explore a new area. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible and not patronising either. We have never seen our 10 year old run uphill on a walk 😂 and she has declared it one of the best mornings of our 2 week holiday here in Cornwall from Scotland. Clearly this took a huge amount of effort, passion, imagination and local knowledge which is greatly appreciated.
It’s really good fun. It was my partner and I who both know Port Isaac well but the mystery walk took us to places we hadn’t ventured to and taught us a lot more than we had known. The clues are fun and often quite challenging and 2 minds are definitely better than one! If you find questions too difficult there are additional clues and prompts available. Would also be fun in a family group with older children. It’s easy to make a day of it as you can stop for food and drink whenever during the walk and remember to stop to take in the surroundings. Highly recommend for a day’s entertainment 👍
We stumbled over a tricky anagram but found our way through (with help from the hints), laughing at our idiocy as we searched for the key to the sea mine. Sun, sea, chat and a walk in a lovely village: what could be better?
