Less muddy

These are the walks least likely to have deep mud on the route during winter

Shorter and easier walks

When paths are muddy, the shorter and easier routes are less of a slog

Split or shortened walks

These are longer walks that can either be cut down or split into two shorter walks

Town and village walks

These are often on harder surfaces and more sheltered from the wind

Walks with a shipwreck

There are several beaches where wrecks are exposed at low tide, often more so after winter storms

Walks with camellias

Some Camellia varieties start flowering in December and others reach into April

Walks with snowdrops

Snowdrops flower from January into February with the peak often around February Half Term

Walks with daffodils

Daffodils flower from late February into March. Commercial planting tends to move around from year to year.
