The walk passes Bude Castle and crosses the river via the bridge dedicated to Nanny Moore who wheeled bathing machines out onto Summerleaze beach for the Victorian gentry. The walk passes the beach to reach the coast above Bude Sea Pool. From here the walk follows the Coast Path to the beaches of Maer and Northcott Mouth where the wreck of the SS Belem is exposed at low tide. The walk continues along the coast to Sandymouth where some geological origami has taken place. The return to Bude is fairly quick and easy, along bridleways and following the River Neet to complete the circular route.
